THE LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT LAW SECTION’S New Executive Committee Members
KATHERINE MOLA
Katherine Mola is a Senior Attorney at the California Public Employees’ Retirement System. She provides advice regarding workplace investigations, employee discipline and performance management, reasonable accommodation, leaves of absence, and internal policies and procedures governing employee conduct. Ms. Mola also provides advice regarding compliance with state and federal laws related to equal employment opportunity, wage and hour, civil service, and technology and web accessibility. In addition to her advice work, she represents CalPERS at the State Personnel Board and other administrative proceedings. Prior to joining CalPERS, Ms. Mola worked in private practice, where she provided employment advice and litigation defense to public and private employers in state and federal court. She received her J.D. from U.C. Davis School of Law.
BETH W. MORA
Beth W. Mora of Mora Employment Law is dedicated to representing victimized employees. From the courthouse to the boardroom, Ms. Mora is a committed advocate for her clients and community. She is a passionate and accomplished advocate for those facing a wide range of employment law issues. Due to her advocacy, Ms. Mora has been quoted in legal journals, including Bloomberg Law, Daily Journal, and Law 360 on issues impacting employees and the legal community, and has written numerous articles. She currently sits on several Boards including, California Employment Lawyers Association as Co-Chair of Committee on Elimination of Bias in the Judiciary, Legislative Committee and Women’s Committee, Contra Costa County Bar Association Pro Bono Committee, Skate Like a Girl, supervising attorney with Legal Aid at Work’s (LAAW) Workers’ Rights Clinic including Co-Lead of LAAW’s new Antioch Clinic. Ms. Mora received her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law.
