Legal Specialization in Privacy Law
Purpose
The State Bar of California’s Consulting Group on the Establishment of a Legal Specialization in Privacy Law (the “Privacy Law Group”) is tasked with assessing whether there is sufficient need and interest to create a specialty in privacy law. The Privacy Law Group is currently comprised of 13 members – the full roster of members is available on the website of the State Bar of California.
If the members of the Privacy Law Group determine that there is indeed a need and interest to create a specialization in privacy law, they will draft certification standards for review by the California Board of Legal Specialization and the California State Board of Trustees. Learn more on the State Bar of California’s website.
