It was great to “see” so many of you at our successful 26th Annual Public Sector Conference last month. Over 200 Labor & Employment attorneys from across the state joined us for excellent programming. And we even had the opportunity to virtually walk from table to table and mingle during a networking session. Conference attendees can continue to access the platform and watch any of the panels until May 21. For those who didn’t attend, videos of the conference panels will be available on demand on our website in the next 3 to 6 weeks.

Remember our next “Pathways to Careers in Employment and Labor Law” program will take place on June 9, 2021 and will focus on the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). For more information, click here

And be sure to mark your calendar so you don’t miss the 37th Annual Labor and Employment Law Section Annual Meeting coming in July. As teasers: Anthony Oncidi and Andrew Friedman will once again provide an entertaining and valuable review of top employment law cases from the past year, another panel will discuss Artificial Intelligence to prepare us for inevitable changes in the workplace due to evolving technology, and you will be able to hear directly from a panel of Judges. I will be moderating a panel with DFEH counsel and two other amazing speakers to unpack and analyze the current and challenging issues presented by teleworking – which is here to stay.  And much more…. so watch for details.
