Art, Money-Laundering, Sanctions, and Russian Oligarchs 

Description: Assistant United States Attorney Chris Kaltsas will discuss the US Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network’s Study of the Facilitation of Money Laundering and Terror Finance Through the Trade in Works of Art that was released on February 4, 2022 and its current impact on the art market. Mr. Kaltsas will also discuss anti-money laundering laws and sanctions on Russia as they pertain to works of art ranging from antiques to NFTs.
