Bar Leaders Webinar: Accessible Events: Creating, Hosting, and Facilitating

Join us for the quarterly free webinar for California bar association leaders. We will be joined by Theo Ser-Ramin and Alison Corn of LAAC to review process guides, templates, and high-level concepts about in-person and virtual event accessibility in addition to general accessibility practices. Participants will learn accessibility best practices and tools to ensure equitable access for all meeting attendees. Leave this session with tangible actions your bar can take to make your events more accessible to your own members.
California bar association executive and general staff and volunteer leaders (e.g., President/Chair, President/Chair-Elect, Vice President/Chair, etc.) are encouraged to attend.

Webinar: Preventing Recurring Errors on Appeal – Prosecutorial Error

This training explores some of the more common, repeating examples of prosecutorial error that occur in California felony jury trials. Specific case examples illustrate best practices to avoid these errors and address the intersection with instructional error and ineffective assistance of counsel. The goal is to develop a broader understanding of how to approach related issues during trial.
