The next time you open an email from the California Lawyers Association or visit your Section web page, you will notice a difference. We’re happy to share the good news that we have a new brand!

Why you should care? Because our new brand goes beyond a simple logo or color scheme. We’re delivering it with a promise to you about the value that this organization – THE bar association for all California lawyers – brings to each of our members. It’s meant to reflect our internal ethos.

“We are dedicated to supporting the growth and continued success of our members by providing access to unparalleled educational resources and a trusted professional network. Through open communication and constant evolution, we tirelessly advocate on behalf of California’s diverse legal profession.”

Our mission remains the same: Promoting excellence, diversity and inclusion in the legal profession and fairness in the administration of justice and the rule of law.

But accomplishing this vital mission requires the California Lawyers Association to keep building and growing a strong and dynamic nonprofit organization. There’s power in numbers. We have come a long way since our separation from the State Bar of California last January, capping it off with our first successful Solo Summit in June. But we have so much more to do.

How did we arrive at this promise to you? It wasn’t Heather’s idea, or Jim’s idea. Or the idea of any one person. That’s the beauty of it. With the help of an outside consultant, we surveyed you, our current members, along with prospective members. We listened to your feedback about what kind of organization you want to be part of. You can learn more about the brand strategy development via this webinar.

And there’s more good news. We’re rolling out the new brand for the California Lawyers Association on Aug. 6 in conjunction with a promotion. Join the California Lawyers Association between now and the end of September and you’ll pay just $40 for a membership good through the rest of 2019. That’s half off the regular price of $95. Plus, those who join between Oct. 1 and the end of the year will pay the regular price but the membership will be good through the end of 2020.
