Labor and Employment Law
Message from the Chair Scott Stillman
Hope everyone’s 2023 is off to a good start! I have lots of items to share with you in this month’s message:
- Become the Managing Editor for our California Labor & Employment Law Review. Our current editor, Phyllis Cheng, is stepping down after doing such incredible work and we are so grateful for all she has done to make our Law Review the tremendous publication it is! We are now seeking applications to become our new Managing Editor and we encourage interested candidates to apply by January 25, 2023. To find out more information about the position, see the details here.
- On January 19-20, 2023, join our Annual New Employment Practitioner Conference. We are just days away from this always-informative virtual conference offering 8.75 hours of MCLE credit, so register today!
- Speaking of MCLE credits, for those whose last names start with N-Z, the February 1, 2023 deadline to report is fast approaching! If you still need MCLE credits, including specialty credits, we’ve got you covered. We provide two options: First, you can view Labor and Employment Law Section programs over the internet for participatory MCLE credit. To see all programs, go to our online catalog and select “Labor and Employment Law”. Second, online articles from our Section publications are available for up to 12.5 hours of MCLE self-study credit. Each article is worth 1 hour of self-study credit. To see our current articles, go to our online catalog of articles and select “Labor and Employment Law”.
- Finally, this is the time to renew your Section membership if you have not done so already! Click here for all the info you need on how to make sure your Section membership remains active.
Thanks and Happy New Year!
