Message from the Chair Erich Shiners

Though we aren’t able to meet in person due to COVID-19, the Section continues to produce high quality but affordable online programming so you can get your MCLE hours. Our annual Advanced Wage and Hour Conference that was to take place at the end of this month will now happen virtually on September 10 and 11, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. We’ll be sending out more details soon. Also, the Section is participating in two upcoming webinars for CLA’s Racial Justice Working Group, one on access to and use of peace officer discipline files in criminal and civil litigation, the other on the peace officer discipline process itself. We are honored and excited to be part of CLA’s efforts to promote the discussion of racial justice issues within and outside the bar.
