US Patent and Trademark Office Changes Response Times for Trademark Office Actions

The United States Patent and Trademark Office has announced that effective December 1, 2022, the deadline to respond to an Office Action for trademark applications based on Sections 1 and 44 will be three months. A single three-month extension of time will be available upon payment of a fee of$125. The deadline for to respond to an Office Action for trademark applications filed under the Madrid Protocol will remain at six months.
