Please share:

July 27, 2021 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

This program is free and does not offer any MCLE credit.

Paul Lanois, Director at Fieldfisher, will be explaining the history behind the GDPR and the major changes that were required pursuant to the entry into effect of the GDPR on May 25, 2018. Considered a landmark privacy law, the GDPR has introduced new rights for individuals (such as the ‘right to be forgotten’ and the right of portability) as well as new requirements on organizations (such as a data breach notification to regulators within 72 hours). Paul will be taking us through these legal requirements and more to provide a high level understanding of the impact that the GDPR has had globally and what the current privacy landscape looks like in Europe.
