Chair Report

The Environmental Law Section’s upcoming programming is on fire, and I hope you take advantage of the amazing educational opportunities that our Executive Committee and Section members have planned for you.  In the lead up to the Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite^®, listen in to the third installment in our free Introduction to Environmental Law series – CEQA 101.  Then join us starting October 14th for four days of CLE, networking, and fun at the Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite^®.  We can’t wait to welcome you all to virtual Yosemite.  A special thanks to CLA staff and the Co-Chairs of the Conference this year who have made it all happen:  Karen Donovan, Nell Green Nylen, and Andrea Ruiz-Esquide.

As September brings in new members of the Section’s Executive Committee, highlighted below, several of our voting members will transition to Section advisors:  Oscar Espino-Padron, Jennifer Harder, Tim O’Connor, and Andrea Ruiz-Esquide.  We want to thank these Executive Committee members for their dedication over the last three+ years – especially in continuing many of our best programs in the midst of the pandemic – and we look forward to their continued insights and contributions as advisors to the Section.  I’ll be continuing on as a Section advisor as well, and as always, would like to hear from you on how we can make Section programs and initiatives more useful and meaningful for you.
