Courts Seek Habeas Counsel

The California Courts of Appeal are seeking qualified lawyers to represent indigent persons who have been sentenced to death in their habeas corpus proceedings in the superior courts. 

The regional habeas corpus panel committees for the Fourth District Court of Appeal, the First District Court of Appeal and the Second District Court of Appeal are accepting applications from qualified attorneys. Attorneys must have their principal place of business in the jurisdiction of the relevant Court of Appeal.
