Court Creates New Civility Award

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California has created the “Hon. David H. Bartick Award for Civility and Professionalism.” Nominations are due July 12, 2019.

This award will recognize one individual per year who has demonstrated civility and professionalism in his or her practice of law. The annual recipients of the Bartick Award will have their names engraved on a permanent award displayed in the lobby of the Carter/Keep courthouse.Eligibility criteria and instructions for submitting a nomination are available on the court’s website, www.casd.uscourts.gov, under News & Notices. The 2019 Bartick Award recipient will be announced at the Oct. 10, 2019, State of the District Luncheon.
