Insolvency Law Committee

Please share:

Members of the Insolvency Law Committee specialize in debtor/creditor rights, restructuring and bankruptcy law.  The Insolvency Law Committee collaborates in the presentation of educational programs, publications, proposed legislation, comments on legislative proposals and with other members of the BLS on matters of overlapping interest.  The strength of the Insolvency Law Committee lies in addressing insolvency related issues that are specific to California.   Its memberships are diverse with members representing debtors, creditors, trustees and receivers in a mix of consumer and commercial bankruptcy and insolvency matters.  The Insolvency Law Committee recently updated, and is about to publish, its  Assignment for Benefit of Creditors Desk Guide, the fruit of many years of hard work and dedication. This convenient desk reference gathers together and outlines the provisions of each of the relevant statutes affecting the operation of assignments for the benefit of creditors in the California law. It is a must have for California business practitioners.

The ILC is perhaps best known for its eBulletins presenting detailed analysis of new cases and decisions of interest to insolvency professionals, and its judicial profiles of California bankruptcy judges.
