PRACTICE AREA GROUP / JOURNAL HIGHLIGHT: Construction Law.

By Kyle Yaege

The Real Property Law Section of the California Lawyers Association has organized Practice Area Committees (PACs) to focus on specific areas of real property law.  Each month, E-News will highlight a different PAC.

This month we are highlighting the Construction Law practice area committee.  The Construction Law PAC  is dedicated to providing education and community to the full scope of attorneys practicing in the field of construction law — from contractual disputes (including delay, disruption, acceleration, site conditions, etc.), to transactional matters involving construction contracts, to public contract procurement, to contractor licensing, to mechanic’s liens and stop notices, and even to construction-defect litigation. The Construction Law Practice Area Committee will further these objectives by generating and disseminating member-created content in the form of live webinars, case notes, Real Property Law Journal articles, and potentially in-person legal presentations to its membership.

The members of the Construction Law PAC are (in random order after chair):  Shailendra (Shay) U. Kulkarni, Esq. of Sullivan Hill Rez & Engel (Chair), Andrew Argyris, Esq. of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, Michael J. Bayard, Esq., Jennifer L. Dauer, Esq. of Diepenbrock Elkin Dauer McCandless LLP, Jonathan F. Golding, Esq. of Golding + Lamothe, Sterling Henderson, Esq. of Gibbs Giden LLP, Marilyn Klinger, Esq. of SMTD Law, Sara Kornblatt, Esq.

Gibbs Giden LLP, Ben Morris, Esq. of Foley & Lardner LLP, Matthew Peng, Esq. of Gordon & Rees, Michelle Rosenberg, Esq. of Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP, Aaron Silberman, Esq. of Rogers Joseph O’Donnell, and Michael J. Bayard, Esq.

We thank the members of the Construction Law PAC for their time, their generosity, and their enthusiasm.
