MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR
Written by Laura L. Buckley Chair
Welcome to the Summer issue of the California Tax Lawyer! I hope many of you are making plans to enjoy a vacation, beat the heat, and spend time with friends and family this summer.
Each year, our Taxation Section Executive Committee elects a new class of board members to serve a three-year term. Last year our leadership team did not change since we were going to have an entire Executive Committee made up of people who had never planned one of our in-person events. So, a special thank you to the current Executive Committee members who signed up to volunteer for 3 years but ended up doing 4. We are delighted to announce that during our June meeting we selected an outstanding incoming class for the 2022-2023 year, and when the CLA Board approves of our selections then we can announce the new Committee members.
Our website has information pertaining to our Executive Committee, our Standing Committees, and other programs that allow you to get involved with the Section, including the Odyssey Mentorship Program. We look forward to having more people involved!
