One of the most important things that lay people and attorneys alike do is make decisions. We make decisions every day. Some are really important and some are not. A good part of each attorney’s job is to make decisions. How we make those decisions is a fascinating study and contains many interesting facts we should all know so that we can make the best decision possible for that particular situation.

Toby Macdonald in his BBC News report of February 23, 2014, says, "With every decision you make, every judgment you make, there is a battle in your mind—a battle between intuition and logic". He goes on to point out that, while most of us think we are making rational decisions based on solid reasoning, we are not.
