Message from the Chair Erich Shiners
In accordance with public health officials’ guidelines regarding the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, we have cancelled the 26th Annual Public Sector Conference on April 23, 2020, and the 37th Labor & Employment Law Section Annual Meeting on April 24, 2020. We are exploring options for moving forward with those programs and hope to be able to announce our plans in the near future. In the meantime, the Section’s online programming will continue as scheduled.
Speaking of events, I’d like to thank the Section Executive Committee members and CLA staff who put on our Employment Law 101 conferences last month. Once again they were a huge success! If you missed it, you can find a recording of the February 13 webcast on our website. Finally, as events move rapidly regarding the pandemic, it is important to keep up to date on the latest impacts on workers and employers. The California Labor and Workforce Development Agency has a comprehensive webpage that is continually updated with the latest pandemic information affecting the workplace.
