2024 MICHAEL H. REMY SCHOLARSHIP

The Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite® is nationally recognized as the largest and most prestigious gathering in California of leaders in environmental, land use, and natural resources law. Join us and some of the nation’s top environmental officials, lawyers, and other professionals in the spectacular setting of Yosemite. 

The Environmental Law Section of The California Lawyers Association is pleased to offer at least 25 tuition scholarships AND five (5) Michael H. Remy Scholarships which include tuition, transportation, and hotel accommodations, courtesy of Remy Moose Manley LLP. 

CRITERIA 

Students, practitioners and other environmental professionals are invited to apply. The Scholarship Committee will review all applications received by the deadline. Scholarships will be awarded based on the following considerations: 

1. Financial Need
2. Environmental Law Interest (for Students)
3. Environmental Law Practice (for Practitioners and other Environmental Law professionals)
4. Environmental Law Section Membership & Support (for Practitioners and other Environmental Law professionals)

Application deadline is Monday, May 6, 2024.

Announcement of scholarship recipients will be made by July 1, 2024.

2024 CONFERENCE TIPS FOR APPLYING:

• We encourage government and public interest attorneys to apply for a scholarship if your expenses will not be covered by your employer.
• Law students are encouraged to apply, and to also become members of the Environmental Law Section which is free to students.  We will reserve a portion of the scholarships for students attending law schools that do not have an environmental law program.
• Due to high demand for rooms, all applicants are advised to reserve their lodging in advance, and cancel at a later date if necessary.  Reservations for the Tenaya Lodge will open shortly after the 4^th of July.
• If you are awarded a scholarship and are unable to attend, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible at Environmental@calawyers.org, so that we may award the scholarship to another recipient.
