The Environmental Law Section was well-represented at the California Lawyers Association Annual Meeting in Monterey on October 10-12. The Section presented four panels: “Holding the Line In the Face of Federal Rollbacks and Environmental Law;” “California and the International Environmental Legal Framework for Mitigating Climate Change” (co-sponsored with the International Law Section); “Stormwater Citizen Suit Liabilities in The Information Age;” and “Los Angeles River Stormwater Use and River Restoration: Competing or Compatible Visions?” Read more

The 28th Annual Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite® is just days away! We look forward to seeing many of you on October 17-20, 2019, at the Tenaya Lodge in Fish Camp, California, minutes from Yosemite National Park. We have planned an outstanding array of panel discussions and morning plenary speakers, including Kori Carew (Friday), Erwin Chemerinsky, Dean of the UC Berkeley School of Law (Saturday), and Jared Blumenfeld, California Secretary for Environmental Protection, and Wade Crowfoot, California Secretary for Natural Resources (Sunday). We will have a lunchtime Q&A session with Senator Scott Wiener on Friday, and our Saturday dinner speaker will be Mustafa Santiago Ali of the National Wildlife Federation. Read more
