Thanks to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions and the availability of vaccines, the CLA Board was able to gather in person last month in Sacramento. Words can’t express how wonderful it felt to be able to reconnect face-to-face with our colleagues for the first time in 18 months. Read more

California is set to fully reopen on June 15th following more than a year of pandemic restrictions, which has affected us all. This month also marks the Juneteenth commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States. While we celebrate Juneteenth, we also acknowledge that slavery and racism have left a mark on all of us, especially on the hearts of every Black American. Read more
As businesses begin opening for in-person service following a year of pandemic closures, we look around and see that despite the many personal and professional challenges of the past year, so many of us have made it through. Read more
