2022 Workers’ Compensation Special Recognition Awards
The Workers’ Compensation section of the California Lawyers Association is honoring five exceptional members of the community for their contributions to the workers’ compensation system. The 2022 Workers’ Compensation Special Recognition Awards were presented at a reception on Friday, September 16, 2022, in conjunction with the CLA Annual Meeting held in San Diego.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD ALFONSO MORESI, RET. SAN RAFAEL, CALIFORNIA
Alfonso Moresi was born, raised, educated and spent his whole life in San Francisco. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco in 1968, he took a year off to ski before enrolling at Golden Gate University Law School, from which he graduated in May of 1972. He was admitted to the Bar in November of that year.
Mr. Moresi’s first job as a lawyer was with Employers Insurance of Wausau, beginning in February of 1973. A year later he moved on to Continental Insurance Company.
