V. Judson Klein Award Acceptance Speech
By Douglas L. Youmans
Thank you all for coming to the 2015 annual meeting of the California Tax Bar and Tax Policy Conference and this luncheon!
It is a great honor for me to stand here today. I am sincerely grateful for being nominated and extremely flattered to accept the V. Judson Klein Award.
Frankly, I was stunned when Steve Walker, immediate past chair of the Ex Comm, called to inform me that I would be receiving this award. Having been a part of the nomination process in the past, I am keenly aware of the quality of people considered for the award, and hardly consider myself to be part of that "class." To all of you on the Ex Comm who nominated me for this award, I want to express my gratitude for your support and acknowledgement of my efforts – it means a lot to me.
