Real property law practice continues to evolve with each passing year. From the housing market recovery, in-fill development, and CEQA to fracking, practitioners need to stay informed and on top of the latest developments to serve our clients effectively. The Real Property Law Section’s goal is to make sure that its members are obtaining timely relevant information for their practice through educational programming, publications, and networking opportunities.
Consistent with this mission, the Section has provided numerous educational and networking opportunities discussed below, including the launch of the Real Estate 101 webinar series that ran in January and February of this year. The 101 series was designed both for practitioners new to real property practice and those wishing to brush up on the basics of real property law. This eight-week series provided MCLE credit and included sessions on The Business of Real Estate; Acquiring Real Estate; Financing; and When Real Estate Goes South. The Section extends a special thanks to Helen Shin, Senior Counsel at Recurrent Energy, for organizing the series, and to each of our speakers, for providing incredible content at these outstanding programs.
