Letter from the Chair
Dear IP Section Member,
As some know, I am a near-native San Franciscan, moving to the City by the Bay when I was six. This, of course, makes the result of Super Bowl 58 somewhat painful. I have been thinking about the game and have reached the following conclusions. First, do not bet (figuratively, of course) against Mahomes and Swift. You will lose. Second, the halftime show, with Usher and company, was awesome. Third, I probably had too much rocky road for dessert, but, in my defense, (a) it was a stressful game and (b) I hiked the previous day, a gorgeous stroll on the coast, in Moss Beach, with other IP Section members, including an impromptu IP Section Reporter reunion, with representatives from the Classes of 2018 and 2022. And, fourth, as IP Section members, we have much to look forward to in the next few months, including our three (3) conferences, DC Delegation, and more monthly hikes, with the next one (Murietta Falls) on March 9, 2024. If you are new to the IP Section and would like to become more involved, please ping me. Likewise, if you have been a member for years, and would like to rediscover the section, please ping me as well. Go Niners, and fingers crossed, in the next year’s Super Bowl, they will not need to play Mahomes and Swift!
