The lengthy list of work to complete before opening a firm can be daunting—but this panel will break down the key items you need to be aware of

Starting your law practice is much more than naming your firm and designing a logo. To successfully launch your business and offer your legal services, it’s important to first handle the administrative tasks required to start your law firm officially.

This session will outline how you can effectively navigate the tasks of:

  • Forming a legal entity while adhering to licensing and compliance requirements
  • Setting up bank accounts and choosing the right insurance policies
  • Understanding and fulfilling your local bar requirements

Please note that every jurisdiction has different legal requirements, and we will not be able to touch on everything. This session aims to give you a high-level overview of what you should expect when opening your firm—and to point you in the right direction.
