I am honored that our Board of Representatives has elected me to serve as the next Chair of the California Lawyers Association (“CLA”). During my term as Chair, I will work to strengthen CLA by growing our 18 amazing sections, which include (in alphabetical order):

I am happy to report that because of the hard work of our Leadership Team and 18 Sections, CLA is on track to have a strong economic performance in 2025. We are working towards balancing our budget, growing our membership, and investing in the next generation of legal talent through the California Lawyers Foundation (“CLF”). We are strengthening our partnerships with affinity and regional bar associations across California, and we are nurturing our relationships with bar associations across the United States and around the world. At the same time, we are working closely with our counterparts at the California Judges Association to maintain harmony between the bench and the bar. Lastly, in advance of the upcoming election, I am inviting you to a non-partisan voter protection event featuring civil rights leaders from across the USA on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8 PM, at the Duane Morris San Francisco Office. Everyone is welcome regardless of political affiliation. Attendees will learn from nationally recognized experts how to protect the rights of voters in advance of the upcoming election.
