Call for Education Program Proposals: Solo and Small Firm Summit—June 13-14

The California Lawyers Association invites you to submit program proposals for its Annual (Virtual) Solo and Small Firm Summit. 

The deadline to submit proposals is March 15, 2024

The Solo and Small Firm Summit seeks to present programs to meet the needs of those in a solo or small firm practice. Topics include best practices in managing your firm, technology updates, tips and tricks and substantive law updates in areas commonly practiced in a solo or small firm setting.

Education programs will be held over two days, Thursday and Friday June 13 and 14, 2024 starting at 9:00 AM. 

The programs should fall into these categories:

  1. The Business of Law (i.e. building your practice, building your brand, personnel/HR management, retirement and succession planning, disaster planning, client trust accounting)
  2. Technology Tips and Tricks (i.e. , Technology Competence, cyber-security, ESI discovery, Website/ ADA compliance, electronic legal research, the ethics of social media)
  3. Substantive Topics (with an emphasis on those areas of practice common for solo & small firms), e.g. Bankruptcy, Estate Planning, Family, Law, Labor and Employment, Real Estate, and Tax.

All programs will be one hour in length. Programs are limited to three presenters, including a moderator should you choose to have one.
