Message from Monique D. Jewett-Brewster, Chair of the Business Law Section

The BLS has had a busy and productive 2018-19 CLA/State Bar year, and it has been my honor and privilege to serve as Chair during this transformative year. In this, my final eNews address, I encourage all BLS members to visit the new CLA website that launched this year at http://www.calawyers.org, and familiarize themselves with the CLA as well as all of the excellent benefits that membership in our Section provides.  From live networking events and MCLE symposiums, to collaborative programs and publications with other Sections and external partners, the BLS strived this year to provide all members with both tangible membership benefits, and the intangible – but just as important – sense of community and belonging.

Your Executive Committee and Standing Committee officers, and all of the volunteers and advisors who assist in the BLS’ work, deserve more thanks and appreciation than I could ever express on paper. Nevertheless, I will use this space to express my sincere thanks to those who work tirelessly towards the BLS’ long-term success – and to remind you, Dear Member, to renew your membership in your Business Law Section! The sky is truly the limit with respect to the programming, publications, events and other membership benefits in store for you next year.
