Ag Labor Tour + MCLE—Nov. 7, 2019

The Agribusiness Committee of the California Lawyers Association Business Law Section will continue its 2019 Agriculture Tour series with an Ag Labor Tour, to be hosted by JRG Attorneys at Law.

Date and Time:  Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Please plan to arrive by 10 a.m.  Coffee and snacks will be provided.

Tour Itinerary & Agenda:  The tour will be held at Tanimura & Antle Produce in Salinas, CA.  The tour will begin at Spreckels Crossin, located at 121 Spreckels Blvd., Salinas, CA  93908.  Attendees will tour Tanimura & Antle’s agricultural employee housing facility, the first of its kind.  The facility first opened in 2016 to provide clean, safe, and affordable housing to the company’s seasonal employees and address the labor shortage impacting the Salinas Valley.    Following the tour, participants will enjoy lunch in the Tanimura & Antle Conference Room and hear from Sergio Parra of JRG Attorneys at Law about labor and employment issues affecting agricultural employers.  The program is a unique opportunity for practitioners to learn about Tanimura & Antle’s housing program and its impact on the company and its employees. The tour will conclude around 1:00p.m.

MCLE:  This activity has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California in the amount of 2.5 hours.  Baker Manock & Jensen certifies that this activity conforms to the standards for approved educational activities prescribed by the rules and regulations of the State Bar of California governing minimum continuing legal education.

Cost:  This is a FREE event, including lunch and MCLE credits.
