Wilmot v. Contra Costa County Employees Retirement Association (CA1/2 A152100A 2/5/21) PEPRA/Pension Forfeiture for Criminal Conviction The Public Employees’ Pension Reform Act of 2013, which took effect on January 1, 2013, mandates forfeiture of pension rights and benefits based on conviction of a felony for conduct arising out of or in the performance of official duties.
