The Concept of Latency for Medical Legal Reporting

Latency is a term that is analyzed frequently in the medical legal arena when it comes to liability resulting from health conditions. The basic idea is that if you identify the point in time when the injury or disease process occurred, then you can identify where or with whom the liability lies.
There is the additional issue of"how long you have to act," when the disease process is alleged to be caused by work.
