Further Musings on the Workers’ Compensation Section and How to Get Involved

YVONNE E. LANG, ESQ.

Oxnard, California

Well, I have had a couple of months to get my chairpersonship under way, and I have already learned a lot about my new position and this wonderful community. I know I told you I was excited to be chairing the Workers’ Compensation Section’s phenomenal Executive Committee when I wrote back in November, but after our long-range planning meeting, I can tell you I am even more energized about the coming year and what we, your Executive Committee, can offer you as section members.

Of course, you all know about our upcoming spring educational conferences, which we will hold at three separate locations throughout the state in order to provide continuing legal education to our membership. See page 23 of this issue for details. That is not all we have planned for year educationally; even more exciting and practical sessions are on the horizon. Since you are the ones who reap the benefits of our programs, you know the wonderful things our Education Subcommittee does. We ask, though, that you keep tuned in to our monthly Workers’ Compensation Section eNews to see what we have in store for you with not only our live programs but also our webinars, like those listed on page 5.
