I am very excited about my new role as Chair of the State Bar Workers’ Compensation Section Executive Committee. I am passionate about what I do, the people I do it with, and the practice of workers’ compensation law. My goal this year as Chair is to help you use the State Bar Workers’ Compensation Section Executive Committee resources to reinvigorate your practice and, in order to improve your practice, help you fully realize why you do what you do.
First things first. In mid-November your State Bar Workers’ Compensation Section Executive Committee participated in its Long Range Planning Meeting. At this annual event the Executive Committee coordinated for you, our section members, the coming yearâincluding outlining educational sessions, beginning the Special Recognition Awards process, soliciting new members for the Executive Committee through our application process, and, of course, discussing our publications, which include the Workers’ Compensation Quarterly.
