Message from the Chair
By Bernadette S. Curry
Bernadette S. Curry is the County Counsel for Solano County and the Chair of the Public Law Section Executive Committee.
Greetings once again from the desk of the 2018-2019 Chair of the Public Law Section! As I write this, we are basking in the glow of the Open Meetings & Open Records Conference, held at May 31st at University of San Francisco. The committee worked hard to engage dynamic speakers and gather information to provide another quality continuing legal education opportunity for our Public Law Section members and the legal community at large.
Plans are beginning to take shape for the CLA Annual Conference scheduled for October 10-12, 2019 in Monterey, CA for MCLE opportunities as well as the presentation of the 2019 Ronald M. George Public Lawyer of the Year award and winner of our Student Writing Competition. We look forward to celebrating both recipients.
