I am thrilled to begin my term as Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section. I’m fortunate to be taking on this role during a time when our Section is thriving. I plan to build on that momentum as our Section continues to serve as a valuable resource for practitioners from every side of the labor and employment bar.
The recipe for our Section’s success is easy to understand. It starts, of course, with our dedicated members who attend and contribute to our many programs. It also includes the hard work of our Executive Committee members and advisors who generously volunteer their precious time. I’d like to especially welcome our newest voting members: Daphne Pierre Bishop, Janine Braxton, Jachyn K. Davis, Susan Garea, and Timothy G. Williams. Our new Section officers deserve tons of credit too: Vice Chair Kevin Hosn, Secretary Christina Ro-Connolly, Treasurer Anne Giese, and last but certainly not least, Immediate Past Chair Latika Malkani, who has done an extraordinary job and leaves big shoes to be filled. Finally, our Section’s achievements additionally rely on the fantastic work that CLA provides, specifically our Executive Director Oyango Snell and our phenomenal CLA Section Manager Tiffany Creswell.
