This article outlines simple steps that will help a 501(c)(3) organization plan for a future tax-exempt bond issue. The tips and tricks in this article address some tax issues that should be considered well in advance of when it’s time to enter the tax-exempt bond market, some tax issues that can arise as the deal is in progress, and some tax issues that can spring up after the deal closes.
