Business Law Section ("BLS") members,
The Annual Review issue of the Business Law News ("BLN") contains summaries of important case law updates and issues from 2019, including a commercial and bankruptcy law update edited (and contributed to) by the Honorable Meredith Jury (United States Bankruptcy Judge, C.D. Cal., Ret.). This year-in-review article is emblematic of the value that the BLS provides.
In addition to having access to top-notch BLN articles, the BLS also provides ongoing MCLE, case law and legislative updates, and networking events. The BLS’s webinars, which you can access online, include cutting edge issues, such as Recent Developments in Internet and Privacy Law Affecting California Consumer Financial Service Providers, and practical issues, such as the What You Weren’t Taught in Law School series, including getting and retaining clients in an ethical manner and the ins and outs of starting a law practice. You can access all BLS webinars here: https://calawyers. org/tag/business-law/. Getting your MCLE through the BLS not only helps you meet your MCLE requirements, it also supports the BLS’s efforts to promote diversity and inclusion, fairness in the administration of justice, and the rule of law.
