MCLE: Self-Study Article – Using Metadata in Depositions

CYLA is pleased to offer our members a new self-study article this month, titled Using Metadata in Depositions. The article is available for purchase for $20, and upon completion of the article and examination you will receive one hour (1.0) of self-study MCLE credit.

Summary: While many California attorneys utilize metadata during civil litigation and investigative reviews, many California attorneys fail to incorporate metadata in offensive and defensive depositions. This article states the relevant rules Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and California Code of Civil Procedure in regards to metadata, describes what metadata is, discusses how metadata is currently used and outlines how attorneys may utilize exhibit metadata in offensive and defensive depositions.
