Irish Friendship Agreement
The International Law Section (ILS) of the California Lawyers Association (CLA) is pleased to announce the signing of a Friendship Agreement with the Law Society of Ireland. The agreement between the CLA and Ireland will promote collaboration, through publications, webinars and in-person visits, between the members of the two organizations.
The Law Society of Ireland is the educational, representative and regulatory body of the solicitors’ profession in Ireland. The Law Society exercises statutory functions under the Irish Solicitors Acts in relation to the education, admission, enrolment, discipline and regulation of the solicitors’ profession. It is the professional body for its solicitor members, to whom it also provides services and support. ILS acts as the representative of the CLA and its 80,000 members in promoting relations with foreign associations of legal professionals. The agreement with Ireland represents the 12th agreement between the CLA and peer organizations abroad, spanning the globe from Barcelona to Vietnam.
