Letter from the Chair

Dear IP Section Members,

I hope all of you have had an absolutely wonderful holiday season. As attorneys, we work extremely hard and it’s important to take a second to step back and appreciate what we work for. To each and every one of our members, I want to thank you for being a part of the fabric which makes the intellectual property law community so rich and interesting.

The new year is upon us and it’s time to start planning for an exciting new year of intellectual property events! I’m excited to announce that registration is officially open for the 48^th Annual IP Institute! The Institute will be on March 6-8th, 2025, in beautiful Long Beach. We have an all-star set of speakers, including Prof. David Nimmer and former GC to the U.S Copyright Office, and current Partner at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein + Selz, Jacqueline Charlesworth. If you register today, there is still time to avail yourself of the early bird pricing.

 January is also a packed month of webinars for the IP section. For those of you looking to get your MCLE credits and develop your practice with cutting edge panels at the same time, this is a great opportunity. We have panels upcoming on hard to get ethics credits, privacy and cyber law updates, the use of generative AI in court documents, and that’s just in January. Keep an eye on our schedule as we’re sure to have something to pique your interest.
