#WellbeingWeekInLaw: Preventing Injury
May 1, 2023 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Free event! Presented by the California Lawyers Association Health and Wellness Committee.
To kick off 2023 Well-being Week In Law, let’s focus on our physical well-being. Join us for a free virtual presentation from Performance Coach, Tom Legath, about injury prevention. Attendees will learn why injuries happen (which are often avoidable). Tom will help attendees improve their ability to listen to their body’s messages about muscle and joint health so that they can make better training choices. The information will give attendees an opportunity to improve the results they get from their training and it will give them an opportunity to implement strategies to avoid future injury so they can play longer into life.
Tom Legath started as an athlete because he loved playing sports. He played soccer, baseball, basketball, golf, and more. Professionally, Tom started out in the entertainment industry, but wanted to be outside playing sports or in the gym. In 2006, he became a personal trainer so he could turn his passion into a profession. Tom’s goal was to help his clients to the best of his ability while he improved on his own best. As a personal trainer, Tom spent time at LA Fitness and Equinox before opening a gym in 2011. In 2014 he joined King Sports International’s coach education program and this is when Tom became a physical preparation coach. Instead of mostly focusing on strength and conditioning he began to incorporate a more holistic approach that covers anything and everything a client will need to be successful. Tom is currently near graduation from the coaching program, but even after graduating learning keeps going as a lifelong process.
