1.25 Hours MCLE; 1 Competency Issues (formerly Detection/Prevention of Substance Abuse)

This first part of the presentation will focus on substance abuse and provide highlights from Abraham Twerski’s Book “Addictive Thinking: Understanding Self-Deception”, as well as offer tips about how to identify other’s behaviors , attitudes, and emotions as they journey through addiction. This presentation will include a discussion of the rules regarding competency and address the impacts of the issues raised by Ms. Nishigaya on fellow practitioners and clients.
