Natalie Sherod
Natalie Sherod has over 16 years of experience in the insurance industry. Her focus is helping middle market companies in the manufacturing, distribution and construction industries identify and analyze their exposure to risk and develop strategies to manage it. Starting her career as an underwriter at Liberty Mutual, she developed a deep understanding of policy forms and language. Natalie has developed a focus in cyber liability and enjoys educating others what has become a very big issue for businesses.
In addition to her client-focused approach, Natalie stays at the forefront of industry trends and regulations. She continuously seeks opportunities for professional development and holds advanced certifications such as the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation, Certified Risk Manager designation and Certified Insurance Counselor designation. Her commitment to staying informed allows her to provide her clients with cutting-edge solutions and a competitive advantage.
Natalie is a graduate of San Diego State University. In her free time, she enjoys time with her husband, two kids and new puppy, Stella.
Scott Cooper
For 25+ years, Tower 23 IT has provided managed IT, cybersecurity, and cyber-compliance services to over one hundred organizations in the medical, financial, legal, manufacturing and engineering industries. Their proven processes utilizing over 200 IT best practices and aligning with cyber-compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST, CMMC, GLBA, help their clients, maximize productivity, reduce risk, and meet regulatory mandates.
Scott has both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona with an emphasis on the business implications of IT. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Arizona as well.
When not working, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, Kirsten, and his two children, Jack, and Carolyn, traveling, or attending Anaheim Ducks and San Diego Padres games.
Yaniv Newman
Yaniv Newman is a member of the Insurance Coverage Practice Group at Fennemore. His practice includes advising and representing small, medium, and large corporate policy holders on a variety of insurance products including directors and officers, employment practices, professional and commercial liability insurance and claims that sometimes arise – including representing insureds in both first- and third- party claim disputes with their insurers.
As a member of Fennemore’s Insurance Practice Group, Yaniv has also successfully represented clients in coverage litigation when necessary, including to recover policy benefits and assert insurer bad faith claims as well as defending policyholders in suits by their insurers seeking reimbursement of payments made to defend and/or settle purportedly uncovered claims.
Yaniv is a self-proclaimed insurance nerd, and loves to talk all things insurance with anyone wanting to learn more or discuss a specific situation. Yaniv earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration (B.S.) from the University of California, Berkley- Haas School of Business. He later earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
