Despite many lawyers and legal professionals excitedly anticipating a return to the office, the process of returning to the office raises a wide host of fears, stressors and emotional challenges – commonly referred to as “Re-Entry Anxiety,” including concerns over physical health, social distancing, reduced flexibility and autonomy, expectations of facetime, losing the comforts of one’s home environment, and navigating in-person norms that now feel foreign and challenging. During this webinar, you will learn key techniques for maximizing your mental health and emotional well-being as you transition back into the office. A variety of tangible tools will be offered, such as incremental reintegration, self-expectation management, preemptive emotional boundaries, present-moment awareness of one’s anxiety/emotions, anticipation of “unanticipated emotions,” micro-resilience exercises, conscious communication of physical safety preferences, purposeful acts of vulnerability and empathy towards colleagues, self-compassion practices, and cognitive reframing tools. Equipped with these techniques, you will be able to enjoy the vast emotional benefits of returning to the office while minimizing the emotional burdens.
