Revised Definition of “Waters of the United States” Proposed Rule

Earlier this week, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of the Army published a proposed rule revising the definition of “waters of the United States” or “WOTUS” protected under the Clean Water Act. The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on December 7, 2021. The public comment period is now open and will close on February 7, 2022.
