The Nonprofit Organizations Committee is excited to announce its presentation of:

Ethical Issues and Pitfalls for Non-Profit Boards and Their Advisors
January 16, 2020, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Please join the Nonprofit Organizations Committee for a program on the topic of “Ethical Issues and Pitfalls for Non-Profit Boards and Their Advisors.”  Our presenters are Carol A. Bradford, Elizabeth Bluestein and Louis E. Michelson.  The following topics will be discussed:  Who is the Client? Avoiding the Representation of Adverse Interests; Payment of Fees by Third Party and Competency and Independent Judgment.  This presentation was recently given by the presenters at the 2019 Annual Meeting of the California Lawyers Association in Monterey, California.

Elizabeth Bluestein is Executive Director and Clinical Professor for the Loyola Social Justice Law Clinic.  Carol A. Bradford is Senior Counsel and Charitable Advisor at the California Community Foundation and served as Chair of the Nonprofit Organizations Committee.  Louis E. Michelson is a nonprofit lawyer and is Immediate Past Chair of the Nonprofit Organizations Committee.
