Darren L. Nunn

Darren Nunn is a Partner at McCorriston Miller Mukai MacKinnon LLP in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he specializes in corporate, M&A, and public finance law. With over two decades of legal experience, Darren provides strategic counsel to private companies and state and local governments, advising on corporate governance, venture capital and private equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings of municipal securities.

Darren is a longstanding and active member of the California Lawyers Association and its Business Law Section. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section, and as a member of its legislation subcommittee, and is a past Co-Chair of the Business Law Section’s Corporations Committee and Vice-Chair of the Corporations Committee’s subcommittee on legislative matters, where he contributed to shaping policy and advancing corporate law standards in California.

An alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Darren’s legal career began in telecommunications in Washington DC and focused for many years on technology in Silicon Valley and San Francisco. He also co-founded a technology startup as General Counsel and CFO, bringing firsthand entrepreneurial insights to his legal practice. Today, at McCorriston Miller Mukai MacKinnon, Darren leads the firm’s corporate department managing a broad scope of corporate legal matters and high-stakes transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity investments, and public finance projects.

Darren currently lives in Los Angeles with his beautiful wife, their college-age son, and a spirited Basenji. He splits his professional time between Los Angeles and Honolulu. In his free time, Darren enjoys sailing, snowboarding, motorcycling, and traveling the world.
