Solo & Small Firm
A Note From the Chair
By Margaret Tritch, CLA Solo & Small Firm Section Chair
We are so happy to bring you our next issue of The Advisor which we aim to bring to you monthly, along with our colleagues at the New Lawyers and Law Practice Management Sections.
I have been serving on the Solo Small Firm Executive Committee, or SSF ExCom, as we call it, for 7 years now. Since being elected in October, I am honored to be the SSF Section’s Chair. This dynamic group of attorneys across multiple practice areas is a lot of fun to serve with. We aim to create networking and connection points for attorneys who are not part of large law firms. See our Calendar of Events.
When you are on your own or part of a small firm, you need to be purposeful about building your network of other attorneys across different practice areas for support. We share ideas about managing our practice, referring cases to each other, share experiences and learn from each other in a variety of ways, all while serving our profession and having fun. If you’ve been thinking about getting more involved in the legal profession and fostering community among solo and small firm attorneys throughout California, please review the link enclosed in our newsletter and consider applying to join the SSF ExCom. If you’d like to ask me questions about it, you are welcome to reach out to Margaret@bizestatelaw.com.
We hope you enjoy our February 2026 e-News. I look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events!
