Copyright Office Adjusts Compliance Dates in its Earlier Final Rule Relating to Cable, Satellite, and DART License Reporting Practices

The Copyright Office is adjusting certain compliance dates related to the reporting requirements for cable operators under the section 111 statutory license detailed in its December 12, 2024, final rule. To resolve any confusion, the Office is adjusting its compliance requirement regarding the final rule’s reporting obligations to apply to the SOA due on August 29, 2025, which covers the January 1 through June 30, 2025, accounting period.
